He is America, and he has been hired by the Fox News Channel as an official contributor.
That's right, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO and Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has joined Fox News to lend his insight into the fields of politics and business.
"Cain’s impressive resume makes him a valuable addition to the FOX News and FOX Business lineup," said EVP Bill Shine in a press release announcing the partnership. "As a political expert with business savvy, he brings an important voice to the nation’s debates."
Cain gained notoriety during the 2012 Republican primaries, particularly gaining popular support for his proposed "9-9-9" tax plan which he claimed would solve the nation's debt problem. He has also worked as a conservative radio host and writer, making his addition to the Fox News line-up in step with his experience.
Regarding the announcement, Cain stated, "I’m excited about joining the FOX family as a contributor because it is an opportunity to be one more voice for intelligent thinking in America."
Cain joins former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, who it was announced would be joining the network earlier this week. The news channel has been in the process of shuffling up its talking heads since the 2012 Presidential election, cutting ties with Sarah Palin and Dick Morris while hiring on former Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
