This is one “celebrity” break up that truly makes me feel sad. “Survivor: Amazon” winner Jenna Morasca and “Survivor: Africa” winner Ethan Zohn have made the decision to end their 10 year long relationship. The following statement was released on Monday by the couple:
"It is with much consideration and a heavy heart that we are announcing that after 10 years of a loving relationship, the decision was made to move on without each other. We will carry with us the memories of a relationship grounded in love, laughter, support and friendship. We have experienced some of life's greatest joys and toughest challenges together and our decision to be apart can never diminish that. We want to thank everyone for their support and we ask that our privacy be respected as we move forward."
Morasca, 32, and Zohn, 38, have helped each other through some of life’s most difficult challenges. Zohn, who has been battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma since April of 2009, and has been in relapse since September of 2011. Morasca stuck by his side through many years of treatments and has advocated fiercely with Zohn as supporters of cancer survival and detection. The couple competed together on “The Amazing Race” and even starred in their own television show called “Everyday Health”.
When Morasca graduated from Columbia University with a degree in clinical psychology in May of 2012, Zohn tweeted out his love, support and congratulations. "To see her battle through all sorts of challenges and still find her passion for academics is such an inspiration," Zohn said. Jokingly he added "Plus, now I don't have to pay for therapy."
They seemed like such a nice couple to me, but I do hope they both find happiness somewhere else.
