Everybody has their own unique look, and no two people are the same, especially in Hollywood. Well, more often than not, stars are constantly getting compared to one another. To follow in those footsteps, here are 11 TV actors who just happen to look like, or resemble, their fellow acting colleagues.
1. Lucy Hale and Danica McKellar
They may be 14 years apart, but that doesn’t mean they can’t look anything alike. Lucy Hale and Danica McKellar are very similar in looks. From the dark hair to their smile to their same shaped faces, the two could almost be sisters. Hale is definitely a mini Winnie Cooper from “The Wonder Years,” while McKellar could be Aria Montgomery’s older sister on “Pretty Little Liars.”
2. Ian Somerhalder and Rob Lowe
“The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder can easily be mistaken for the “Parks and Recreation” actor Rob Lowe. Put their photos side-by-side, and bam, they look like family. In addition to looking alike, they also make hearts go pitter-patter. Those sparkling eyes; charming smiles and great bodies can really get their fans going.
3. Shelley Fabares and Isla Fisher
These days, most people don’t recognize actress Shelley Fabares. Back in the day, she starred alongside Elvis Presley in “Girl Happy” and “Clambake.” TV fans should also recognize her for playing Christine Armstrong and girlfriend/wife to Craig T. Nelson’s character on “Coach.” Well, a young Fabares has an uncanny resemblance to Isla Fisher. If she ages anything like Fabares, we know what Fisher will look like when she’s older.
4. Steve Carell and Alice Cooper
These two couldn’t be more opposite in character. However, when it comes to looks “The Office’s” Steve Carell and rocker Alice Cooper have a lot in common, especially when they’re smiling or laughing. If someone is looking to do a biopic about Cooper, then Carell could be the leading man.
5. Nina Dobrev and Victoria Justice
Out of everyone one on this list, these actresses look the most alike. They are obviously long-lost sisters. Nina Dobrev from The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” and Victoria Justice from Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” have the same hair, nose, eyes and smile. Isn’t it funny that Dobrev plays a doppleganger on TVD, and she has one in real life?
6. Alexis Bledel and Robin Tunney
If you’ve ever watched “The Mentalist” and think the leading lady, Teresa Lisbon, is played by “Gilmore Girls” actress Alexis Bledel, then you’re not alone; however, you’re wrong. Lisbon is actually played by Robin Tunney, but she and Bledel have a striking resemblance. Maybe it’s the big eyes or the hair or the mouth, but whatever it is the two can easily be mistaken for one another.
7. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Javier Bardem
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has easily become a fan favorite on TV. “Grey’s Anatomy” fans first fell in love with him when he played Denny Duquette aka Izzie’s dying love interest. He’s also become a favorite for playing John Winchester on “Supernatural” and most recently Ike Evans on “Magic City.” You can argue over what you love him for most, but what’s not arguable is how he looks like actor Javier Bardem.
8. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jenni Pulos
Funny lady Julia Louis-Dreyfus is known for her hilarious comedy. From Elaine on “Seinfeld” to Christine on “The New Adventures of Old Christine” to currently playing Selina on “Veep,” she’s definitely made a name for herself and isn’t easily mistaken for someone else. However, everytime I turn on Bravo and see Jenni Pulos on “Flipping Out” I think I’m watching Louis-Dreyfus flip houses.
9. Lyndsy Fonseca and Jennifer Grant
Lyndsy Fonseca, from “Nikita,” and Jennifer Grant, who has starred on several TV series like “Friends” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” are 21 years apart and could be mother and daughter with their similar traits. Fun fact: Grant is the daughter of actress Dyan Cannon and legendary actor Cary Grant.
10. Stana Katic and Mischa Barton
Stana Katic is loved for her role as Kate Beckett on ABC’s “Castle.” After some quick glances, she looks very similar to “The O.C.’s” Mischa Barton. Whether they both have dark or light hair; or have their hair up or down; or just happen to be wearing the same color, they have quite a lot in common - looks wise.
11. Ike Barinholtz and Donnie Wahlberg
After watching FOX’s “The Mindy Project,” I’m convinced Ike Barinholtz is a long-lost Wahlberg sibling. Just look at the above photo. Does that not look like New Kids on the Block member and “Blue Bloods” actor Donnie Wahlberg? He even resembles Mark Wahlberg. It’s all in the eyes. I think a DNA test needs to be conducted.
