A former “Criminal Minds” star is ready to do some spying.
Paget Brewster will Tim’s (played by Rob Corddry) ex- wife on ABC’s “Spy” pilot.
Tim is a well- intentioned father of a very smart and verbal son Marcus (played by Mason Cook). Marcus and Tim are complete opposites. To prove his worth as a father Tim accidentally takes a job in the Secret Service.
Brewster’s character Erica is a distant neurotic who has spent years seeing therapists. She and Marcus are both quite dissatisfied with Tim, and she hates him for his lack of success and ambition.
Rob Corddry has appeared in features “Old School” and “The Heartbreak Kid.” Mason Cook (“Spy Kids: All the Time in the World”) will also star in “Spy.”
“Spy” is based on a British comedy series. Simeon Goulden, the creator of the UK version, is onboard for this version too. Jimmy Mulville from Hat Trick Productions will executive produce.
Brewster has appeared in features “Man of the House” and “Unaccompanied Minors,” and played the new girlfriend of Manny’s biological father this season on ABC’s “Modern Family.”
Brewster is represented by UTA, her manager Joannie Burstein and attorney Joel McKuin.
Oh brother. More borrowed bad ideas. Bet Criminal Minds is a lot funnier than this "rubbish".
