Watch the promo for episode 1x16 of 'Arrow!'

He's baaaaaaaack...

No, not just the emerald-hooded archer, but a nemesis that both Oliver and fans believed to be handily dispatched in a 2012 episode...

Now that Oliver's mother is taking matters into her own hands in order to eliminate the dangerous Malcom Merlyn, Moira has contracted a hit on Merlyn's life. It would seem that the assassin geared to take up that hit is none other than returning villain Deadshot.

Looking worse for wear after his first run-in with Green Arrow, Deadshot is being put back in the game in order to do Moira's dirty work. As though it wasn't complicated enough for poor Ollie that he's attempting to stop an assassin that was hired by his mother, a new wrinkle was added to the 'Arrow' drama at the close of last night's episode: Detective McKenna, an old friend and recent romantic flame of Oliver's, has been promoted to Major Crimes in the SCPD--oh, and, she just so happened to be assigned to the Hood case.

The official release for episode 1x16 "Dead to Rights" is as follows:

Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) learn that Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe) is still alive and his next target is Malcom (John Barrowman). Malcom invites Tommy (Colin Donnell) to attend a benefit honoring Malcom for his work with Starling City but Tommy refuses to attend. Oliver encourages his friend to mend his relationship with his father while he can. Meanwhile, Oliver struggles to balance his new relationship with McKenna (Janina Gavankar) and his duties as Arrow.

Check out the extended promo below!

The last time the Hood was confronted at gunpoint like that, he was shot by his own mother. Now, it is Oliver's best friend Tommy wielding the firearm. Will Oliver have to reveal his identity in order to convince Tommy to trust him? If so, is he running a risk of exposure, having recently added Felicity Smoak to his team as well?

Michael Rowe reprises his role as Deadshot, his largest acting part to date. Rowe has previously appeared in a handful of short films but a recurring villain role on network television is a massive feather in his cap.

Then again, he may end up eating another arrow in "Dead to Rights"... will his comeback be short-lived?
