VH1 is going hard after your eyeballs this spring, with an emphasis on new series that focus on pop culture and music. I know, I know - in this day and age, a music channel focusing on music is a bit weird, but together we can get through this.
Three news series are coming your way from the Viacom-owned network, including:
* The Gossip Game - This series follows the lives of seven media personalities (rivals, in fact) that focus on the urban entertainment industry in New York City. Included in the cast are Angela Yee, co-host of Breakfast Club on Power 105.1; K. Foxx, co-host of Hot 97's The Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show; The Source magazine's editor-in-chief Kim Osorio; Sharon Carpenter, a reporter on the Global Grind website; freelance writer and Vibe.com columnist Jas Fly; Ms. Drama, host of the MsDramaTV blog and on-air personality at Major Playaz; and Vivian Billings of HipHopGossipSite.com. The series premieres April 1.
* I'm Married to A... - In the vein of MTV's True Life series, this series focuses on unique love situations, including episodes titled “I’m Married to a Quadriplegic,” “I’m Married to a Gay Mormon,” “I’m Married to Twins” and “I’m Married to…An Alien Abductee. This begins airing April 21.
* 100 Sexiest Artists - Done in five parts, this countdown special will be hosted by Stevie Ryan and includes interviews with the sexy ones. The special begins airing March 5.
