ITV2 today have announced that British boyband veterans Blue will appear in an upcoming episode of their hit series 'The Big Reunion'. The show sees pop acts from the 90's and 00's come back together to discuss why they broke up and to see if they could make their act work again.
Members (From left to right) Duncan James, Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan and Anthony Costa haven't actually split, however go on hiatus between 2005 and 2009. This move from ITV2 has angered some fans who have seen their pop idols sort out real feuds and reunite on air, rather then the full package already back together. The band are famous for songs such as 'All Rise' and Elton John duet 'Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word'. In 2011 they also represented the UK in the Eurovision song contest, with song choice 'I Can' gaining us one of the highest places we have received in previous years (11th) and have recently released their new album in European markets, hoping for a UK release later in the year.
The band will bare all about what went on backstage although members have made no secrets of their personal lives before now. Duncan came out as bisexual in 2009, a story which made front page news at the time. The story went to a whole new level when Lee suggested they had shared the same sexual partner at the same time on numerous occasions.
The show has featured other bands in it's run so far including 5ive, the original Atomic Kitten lineup and Liberty X.
The series has so far proved a hit for the channel, often leading the multi-channel slot average for the night and has even spawned a tour, which will see the pop favourites perform their original hits for fans new and old across a string of dates in May.
This Thursdays show will feature 911 and B*Witched and will air on ITV2 on Thursday at 9pm.
