Jorge Garcia, who is best known for his work on Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on Lost, has had a rough few years since that series ended. He has appeared on How I Met Your Mother, Mr. Sunshine, Fringe, Alcatraz, Phineas and Ferb and Once Upon a Time since then, but none of those appearances have turned into anything substantial (in fairness, only Mr. Sunshine and Alcatraz were more than guest spots).
Apparently it is time to try again, at CBS this time. The actor has joined the cast of a new drama pilot at the network called The Ordained. The series focuses on a character named Tom (who will be played by Boardwalk Empire's Charlie Cox) who comes from a predominant American family. He becomes a priest but is forced to give that life up to become a lawyer to save his politician sister from being assassinated. A bit of an odd leap there, huh?
Garcia's character is Carlos, the staff investigator at the law firm who is Tom's ally and friend at the office. Carlos is laid back and unorthodox in his dealings, but gets the job done, often with levity and humor.
Let us cross our fingers for Garcia's sake. He is a good actor and deserves solid work.
