April 14th can't get here fast enough!

In addition to getting my income taxes done by then, that's the date HBO has set for the return of its spot on political satire "Veep."
The teaser doesn't unveil much, save that the cast of the first season will return in full, from Anna Chlumsky's beleaguered advisor Amy to Timothy Simon's lanky POTUS-bot Jonah. Much like creator Armando Iannucci's other projects "The Thick of It" and "In The Loop," the real meat of the HBO series is how well the ensemble gels and plays off one another, so it's good to see everyone returning.
For those who missed the freshman season, be sure to catch up via HBO Go or the recently released DVD set for some of the sharpest comedic writing the cable network has seen in years, and the series which earned lead Julia Louis-Dreyfus a much deserved Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus teased of the possible directions the second season could find Vice President Selina Meyer going. "Selina's going to get closer to the West Wing and then perhaps wish she wasn't so close to the West Wing," the actress explained. "And we may even travel globally... that remains to be seen, but it may be the case if we can figure it out, budget wise."
A meeting of Jonah and Iannucci's other great creation, foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi) would be an absolute dream come true. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think about this returning series!
