As should have been expected ever since the Hatfields & McCoys miniseries did well last year, the networks have jumped on board to get their own adaptations of the historic American tale of feuding neighbors to air. NBC has a pilot in development based on the story and now has added an actor to play Jack McCoy.
Patrick Flueger, an alum of The 4400, has landed the role, which will reunite him with his Scoundrels mother Virginia Madsen, who will once again play his mother. Jack McCoy is a hot-head who is street smart and loves his family and his hometown. He is the youngest of the McCoys and used to getting what he wants.
However, do not expect their tale to be told the same way Kevin Coster's series told theirs. This one is set in modern-day Pittsburgh and finds the families rekindling their hatred after decades of an uneasy peace. The two families go to war for control of the city (didn't they see The Dark Knight Rises? Bane has that place on lock).
A startling death reignites the feud between the two legendary families in modern-day Pittsburgh. Unleashing decades of resentment, the blue-collar McCoys will put the Hatfields' wealth and power at risk as they go to war for control of the city.
