Former 'The Voice UK' finalist Bo Bruce has confirmed details of her début album, 'Before I Sleep'.
The singer songwriter who finished in second place on 'The Voice UK' last year won the hearts and minds of the nation. During the series, she was one of the fans favourites and has now signed a deal with Mercury Records.
Bruce has worked with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid, Athlete's Joel Pott, Zero 7's Henry Binns as well as Greg Kurstin (Pink, Lily Allen) And Tom Marsh for the upcoming album. She co-wrote the album track 'Alive' with her Voice UK mentor Danny O'Donoghue (The Script).
She has a wide range of impressive artists, co-writers and producers but the rest of the album was produced by James Flannigan. Other co-writers have also included Sia Furler ('Titanium').
In the week following 'The Voice UK' final, Bo's independently released download 'Search the Night' peaked at number two in the iTunes album charts. She overtook such artist as Coldplay and Paloma Faith.
Speaking about the record Bruce said: “The process of making this album has been extraordinary. It's also been the hardest and most testing time of my life. But I've made an album I'm incredibly proud of and I can't wait for people to hear it. For the moment, that's enough.”
