Young Neil, you have auditioned well. From this point forward, you will be known as... Dodge Trask?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" actor Johnny Simmons has been added to the cast of The CW's forthcoming offbeat pilot "Blink."
"Blink" centers on the Trask family, whose lives are forever changed after the patriarch, Greg, is badly injured in a car crash and stuck in a vegetative state. Even though he cannot directly communicate with his family, Greg can still see and hear all the trials and tribulations his family members must endure in the wake of the accident. The series will mix the father and husband's narration with humorous fantasy sequences emanating from his mind to provide context and wry counterpoint to his family's respective stories as well as his own situation.
Simmons joins the cast as Dodge Trask, the middle child of the family who is perhaps most directly affected by the accident, as he was a passenger in the wreck that left his father in a coma-like state. A talented musician, Dodge now finds himself directionless and without motivation, working as a door-to-door salesman now that his father figure is forever changed.
Simmons is of course known to fans of "Scott Pilgrim," but more recently showed some real acting chops in the coming of age feature "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
