Old friends and colleagues Carol Burnett and Tim Conway will have a sweet television reunion on the TV Land sitcom Hot In Cleveland. The two comedic veterans worked together on the Carol Burnett Show when Conway became a regular starting in the 1975-76 season. The dynamic duo will appear together in an August episode of Hot In Cleveland, as was announced on Thursday.
Burnett will play Penny, a local television legend who is a puppeteer for a childrens program who happens to be the mother of Wendie Malick’s Victoria. Conway will be returning in the role of Elka’s (Betty White) ex-boyfriend Nick, but this time he is much more interested in Penny.
“The ‘Carol Burnett Show’ is an American classic that helped pave the way for women in comedy,” said Larry W. Jones, President of TV Land. “It is our honor to reunite the dynamic duo of Carol and Tim to make magic with our ladies of ‘Hot In Cleveland.’” Burnett and Conway are the latest in a long line of impressive guest stars that have appeared on Hot In Cleveland, including Regis Philbin, Mary Tyler Moore, Heather Locklear and many more.
The episode doesn’t tape until March, and will air during the second half of season four of the comedy series.
