Last week, we were treated to the first official trailer for Game of Thrones' third season. It was a great in that it provided us with our first new footage of the season, but it didn't exactly give us any terribly exciting shots from the new season. A new extended version of the trailer, released on Saturday, provides an even more compelling case to tune in to season 3: sex and bears.
Though it features much of the same footage as the first trailer, there are some new additions. We get a pithy put-down from Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) to Cersei (man, those never get old), and some shots of Game of Thrones fulfilling its HBO sex scene quota -- Robb (Richard Madden) and his new wife Talisa (Oona Chaplin) in one, wilding woman Ygritte (Rose Leslie) and an unknown man (come on, we know it's Jon) in the other.
Oh, and there's a BEAR, who seems to be part of a cage match with the knight Brienne (Gwendoline Christie). We get other shots of some violence: Jon (Kit Harington) beheads a man while Ygritte looks on, Tyrion twirls an axe, and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) comes in close proximity to a knife.
Check out the full trailer below. Game of Thrones will kick off its third season with the premiere episode "Valar Dohaeris" March 31 at 9/8c on HBO.
