To watch Lili Taylor is to love her work.
Taylor has appeared in dozens of feature films and television series, from memorable guest-starring turns on 'The X-Files' and 'The Good Wife' to starring roles on 'Deadline,' 'Six Feet Under' and 'State of Mind.' Now, Taylor has won the lead role in the upcoming untitled FOX pilot that was previously known as 'Inhuman.'
The project is an action/sci-fi/dramedy with a twist on the buddy cop genre. The series is set in the not too distant future when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. One human, one android in every police partnership. The show centers on one such pairing: cop John Kennex and his android partner Dorian. Dorian the android has been cast and Michael Ealy ('Common Law') won the role.
Taylor, who is a chameleon capable of embodying wildly disparate roles, will be playing a human rather than an android in the series. She will star as Maldonado, an ambitious and determined police captain who is willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. Taylor can be seen in the upcoming feature film 'The Conjuring.'
The project formerly known as 'Inhuman' is being produced by J. J. Abrahms' Bad Robot and is headed up by producer and showrunner J. H. Wyman. Wyman produced the television series 'Keen Eddie' and 'Fringe' as well as the upcoming Colin Farrell feature vehicle 'Dead Man Down.'
What would you call a series about human and android buddy cops?
