Lifetime's Army Wives series has cast Kaley Ronayne to play the daughter of Brooke Shields' character.
Ronayne, best known for her work on The CW's Carrie Diaries, has been cast as Hannah Young, the daughter of Shield's Air Force Colonel Katherine "Kat" Young. Hannah is described as a sensitive go-getter, as well as a cadet on the rise. She comes from a family with a long tradition of service in the Air Force but is more interested on trying her own path in life - against the better wishes of her family. Her dream is to ditch the blue for the green, as she wants to join the Army and fly attack helicopters instead of flying fixed wing aircraft for the Air Force.
The casting is part of the big changes occurring in the series' seventh season, which is something of a reboot. Other new cast additions include the terrible Jesse McCartney (his work in the film Chernobyl Diaries was atrocious), Broadway vet Elle McLemore, Ashanti (she is still around?) and Torrey DeVitto (make it Danny DeVito and I am in).
Star Kim Delaney left the drama after the sixth season.
The seventh season of the series premieres March 10 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
