Rob Huebel headed to 'Hart of Dixie'

A “Childrens Hospital” star will travel to the “Hart of Dixie.”

Comedian Rob Huebel will have a guest- starring role on an upcoming episode of the CW drama.

He will play Michael, the father of Rose’s (played by McKaley Miller) boyfriend Max (played by Nicholas Podany). Wade (played by Wilson Bethel) and Zoe (played by Rachel Bilson) seem to be splitsville, so Michael and Zoe get set up on a date to try to get her on the right dating track.

Tonight’s episode has been teasing a possible coupling of Zoe and Jonah Breeland (played by Travis Van Winkle), Lemon’s cousin, but with Huebel’s character’s upcoming arrival, that relationship may not be long for this world.

Bilson, the star of “Hart of Dixie,” is known for her roles in “The O.C.,” “The Last Kiss,” and “Jumper.”

Some may know Huebel from roles in “Celeste & Jesse Forever,” “The Office” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” Others (like me) know him as the reprehensible Tevin in “I Love You, Man.” Both Bilson and Huebel have appeared on “How I Met Your Mother.”

Huebel is represented by UTA and Principato- Young.

“Hart of Dixie” is on The CW Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
