Hold on to your butts General Hospital fans, one of the most famous love triangles on daytime television is about to be reunited. As General Hospital continues to celebrate 50 years on the air on ABC, two more alums have been added to the more than packed line-up. Ingo Rademacher and Vanessa Marcil will return to the drama to reprise their roles as Jax and Brenda.
Thus far, General Hospital has kept quiet about the actual return date of Brenda and Jax, but it is rumoured to be some time before April 1st. In addition, the pair is expected to appear on the show for more than a few weeks.
Rademacher played the role of Jax on General Hospital from 1996 until 2000, with a short leave from the show in 2001 to appear on the primetime soap Titans. Rademacher then returned and stayed with the show almost continuously until 2012. Marcil played the role of Brenda from 1992 until 1998, returned for a year in 2002, and again in 2010 before leaving the show for the last time in July of 2011 (until now, of course).
Rademacher and Marcil are among a number of former cast members that are returning to celebrate the 50 year milestone of the longest running soap on television. This season Port Charles will welcome home favourites such as Genie Francis, Kin Shriner, Rick Springfield and the ever-entertaining Richard Simmons.
