NBC’s Carlton Cuse pilot, The Sixth Gun, has nabbed three more actors. Pedro Pascal (The Good Wife), James LeGros (Ally McBeal) and Chin Han (The Dark Knight) have been cast in the pilot, which is based on the comic book series created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt.
The series will take place in the old west a short time after the end of the Civil War. Pegged as a supernatural Western, The Sixth Gun centres on a set of six pistols, each with its own dark and other-worldly powers. He who wields each pistol gains the weapons unique ability and is tied to it until their death. When a farmer’s daughter named Becky (Laura Ramsey) finds herself in possession of the most powerful and dangerous gun of the group, the Sixth Gun, a dark force is reawakened.
Pascal will play the role of Special Agent Ortega, the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who must follow Agent Mercer’s (Aldis Hodge) lead. LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger who is a close companion to Drake Sinclair (a mysterious man who holds a wealth of knowledge about the supernatural, as well as four of the six guns). Chin Han will play Chow, a “brilliant Machiavellian schemer”.
The more I hear about this pilot project the more interested I become. Do you intend to watch The Sixth Gun when comes to NBC?
