Hootie and the Duck Hunters does not have quite the same ring to it that Hootie and the Blowfish did, but that has not stopped Darius Rucker (who fronted that band) from reaching out to the Robertson family anyways.
The Robertsons, the stars of A&E's Duck Dynasty, will be appearing in an upcoming music video from Rucker, who has left behind rock music for the sweet twangs of the country scene. See, Robertsons, not every musician hates your guts! Only Morrissey!
Jase, Korie, Sadie, Si and Willie will all be appearing in the video for Rucker's upcoming single "Wagon Wheel." The video began shooting this week in Nashville. In addition to the Robertsons, Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum will be appearing in the video (he sings background vocals on it), as will his bandmates Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott.
“My wife came up with the idea to have the Duck Dynasty guys in the ‘Wagon Wheel’ music video, and I thought we had no chance because they’re so busy so I never even said it out loud,” Rucker said. “Thank God she called my manager because the DD folks took this video to a whole new level! Big thanks to them and Charles… It was a good time for sure, and I can’t wait to see how the video turns out!”
