'Southland's Shawn Hatosy has gone ahead and given himself a Plan B, should the TNT cop drama fall through in the off-season: Hatosy has won a role on the upcoming CBS pilot 'Reckless.'
'Reckless' is described as a sultry legal show set in Charleston, South Carolina, where a gorgeous Yankee litigator and a Southern City Attorney (to be played by Cam Gigandet of 'The O.C.') struggle to hide their intense attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal. While Hatosy is not going to play the Yankee litigator, he has won the role of a handsome bad-boy police officer named Trey.
The CBS project drew attention when it was announced that Catherine Hardwicke, feature film director from the massive blockbuster 'Twilight' franchise, had signed on to direct the pilot. The feature credibility of 'Reckless' runs deep, as the scribe behind the Nic Cage film 'City of Angels,' Dana Stevens, has penned the pilot script. Stevens will also serve as executive producer on the project. There's no doubt that this much Hollywood muscle is bound to make any project quite attractive to any actor.
Other name actors joining the 'Reckless' cast are Michael Gladis ('Mad Men'), Georgina Haig ('Fringe') and Kim Wayans ('In Living Color'). Yes, Kim Wayans of the Wayans family, veterans of the silver and small screen.
Shawn Hatosy is best known for his feature film appearances in 'The Faculty,' 'Alpha Dog,' 'Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans' and 'The Cooler.' Hatosy's television work outside of 'Southland' includes guest appearances on 'Body of Proof' as well as 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.'
