CBS took Monday off yet again, but this time it was ABC that capitalized, winning both the key demo and total viewer races.
With the lack of major competition, the season finale of The Bachelor rose half a ratings point to a 3.3, also topping last year's finale by four tenths. The post-season reunion special also went up by half a point to a 3.8.
The Following fell two tenths, but still remains in a consistent range. CBS' lone new offering, Rules of Engagement, dropped two tenths to a third straight season low. Normally, I'd say Rules wasn't long for this world, but people have been saying that for seven years now. We'll just have to wait and see whether CBS still wants to keep the comedy in its mid-season back pocket.
NBC continues to be the laughing stock of primetime, with The Biggest Loser hitting a season low, and Deception rising... to a 1.2. Finally, the CW had a blah night. The Carrie Diaries matched last week's 0.4, and the now canceled 90210 fell back down to an 0.2.
