A star of “Treme” has been cast for a supernatural western pilot.

Michiel Huisman, after a lengthy search, will play the male lead in NBC’s “The Sixth Gun.”
Huisman plays Drake Sinclair, a rogue gunslinger searching for the sixth gun because he thinks it will lead him to treasure.
Laura Ramsey is the female lead, as the innocent farmer’s daughter in possession of the sixth gun and all hell breaks loose. Ramsey has appeared in “Somewhere,” “Mad Men” and “She’s the Man.”
Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) is producing the pilot. Ryan Condal (“Plurality”) is writing the pilot, which is based on a comic book. Jeffrey Reiner is directing.
Huisman recently recurred on ABC’s “Nashville” as producer Liam McGuinnis, who gave Rayna (played by Connie Britton) her new sound and some drunken nights together.
Huisman is represented by ICM Partners, Meg Mortimer and Frank Stewart.
In “The Sixth Gun,” Graham McTavish (“24”) will play Silas Hedgepeth; Pedro Pascal (“The Good Wife”) will play Special Agent Ortega; W. Earl Brown (“Deadwood”) will play General Oliander Hume; Aldis Hodge (Voodoo Tatum on “Friday Night Lights”) will play Agent Mercer; and Chin Han (“The Dark Knight”) will play Chow.
