Jennifer Esposito to topline E! reality pilot

Former Blue Bloods co-star Jennifer Esposito has a new show in the works, and this time it will be unscripted, up-close and personal. Esposito is filming and executive producing a reality pilot for E! The series, which is not yet been titled, is a spin-off of the network’s upcoming documentary reality show Playing With Fire.

Esposito is among those who are featured on Playing With Fire, premiering this Sunday. Playing With Fire documents the personal lives and careers of “tastemakers and chefs inside New York’s culinary scene”. The episode featuring Eposito focuses on the actresses New York gluten-free bakery, Jennifer’s Way, which she opened after being diagnosed with Celiac disease. Eposito has recently gone through a fairly public battle with CBS and Blue Bloods after she was put on an indefinite medical leave due to her personal daily struggles with Celiac disease.

The E! series will expand on Eposito’s feature from Playing With Fire, following Eposito through her daily routines running the bakery and juggling her busy social and professional life. The pilot will be produced by Atlas Media Corp, the same company responsible for producing Playing With Fire. The series will mark Eposito’s first major television gig following her exit from Blue Bloods.
