Cast and crew of American Horror Story took a look back at the last season at the 30th Annual PaleyFest. While Asylum was what everyone had come to hear about, Coven is what everyone left talking about.
Creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the third season will be called Coven. Rumors about the location of this new season have been New Orleans and the voodoo scene or Salem and its famous witches. New Orleans seems to be the winner, as Murphy said that the season would film in multiple locations, including the city.
"It's a really cool story that we've been talking for a couple years, and this seemed to be the year to do it," he said.
Murphy has also talked to FX president John Landgraf about doing a companion piece to AHS, but did not go into details. Could it be another series or something similar to The Walking Dead's The Talking Dead post-show?
Season three will once again deal with the search for haunted places in America. Three cast members will be playing real people, including the recently cast Kathy Bates. Bates appeared at the panel and talked about how her friend Jessica Lange helped talk her into doing the series.
"I've loved it from the very beginning," Bates said of the series. "I called up Jessica and told her to talk to Ryan and tell him I'd do anything on the show."
If this isn't the TV series with the most Oscar-winning cast members, it's got to be darn close, right? That's more prestige than even HBO pulls down.
