Conan O'Brien will be taking off his talk show host hat for a little while for a different one: fundraiser.
The late night funnyman will be helping Senator Al Franken (Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party - Minnesota) raise funds for his relection campaign. The two men worked together on NBC's Saturday Night Live in the late '80s/early '90s.
Contributor's to Franken will be entered into a raffle with a grand prize of the "best brunch in the world" which will be with the senator and talk show host at O'Brien's home in Los Angeles on April 7.
Franken has already emailed his supporters, asking them if they were interested with "Brunch with me and Conan?"
“Imagine how much fun it would be to hang out at Conan’s house. Imagine how jealous your ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend/boss/parents/neighbors/cousins will be. Imagine how ridiculous your friends will look when they compete to be your plus-one,” the email said. “Do it for my grassroots campaign. Do it for the experience of a lifetime. Do it for the looks on your friends’ faces. Do it for the free meal. Do it for Conan.”
O'Brien has helped Franken before, as he appeared in 2010 at a Minneapolis event to benefit Franken's political action committee.
