A actress from “Ted” has been cast in an ABC comedy pilot.

Ginger Gonzaga will replace Mercedes Masohn (“Quarantine 2: Terminal,” “666 Park Avenue”), who departed over the weekend, on “Mixology.”
“Mixology” is written by feature writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (“The Hangover”), in their pilot debut. Larry Charles (“Seinfeld”) will direct.
The project features 10 lead characters, and is set at a sexy Manhattan bar. “Mixology” explores the adventures of singles over the course of a night- in this case, five guys and five ladies- searching for love.
Blake Lee (“Parks and Recreation”), Andrew Santino (“Parks and Recreation, “The Office”), Vanessa Lengies (“Glee,” “Stick It”), Kate Simses (“Wedding Band”), Adam Campbell (“Harpers Island”), Sarah Bolger (“Once Upon a Time”) and Craig Frank (“2 Broke Girls,” “Up all Night”) have also been cast for the pilot.
Gonzaga plays one of these singles- Maya, an unbreakable sports attorney.
Gonzaga has appeared on “In Gayle We Trust” and “Legit,” and also voiced Cindy, a flame of Brian’s, on “Family Guy.”
Gonzaga is represented by Innovative, Industry Entertainment and Patti Felker.
“Mixology” producers released a statement last week saying that “Masohn is an incredible talent with comedy chops and has been very accommodating and understanding with us, and we plan to be working with her again soon.”
So basically they traded one attractive, ethnic-looking female with an alliterative name for another. Cool.
