You certainly can't accuse Terry O'Quinn of taking a break. O'Quinn, who became famous for portraying John Locke on ABC's mystery drama LOST, quickly went back to work after that series ended in 2010. Since then, he's made appearances on Falling Skies and Hawaii Five-O, and starred in the short-lived ABC supernatural series 666 Park Avenue, which was cancelled last year. Now, he's got a new gig: this time, on FOX's Gang Related pilot.
O'Quinn will take over the role that Tom Berenger vacated earlier this year: he'll be playing Sam Chapel, "a tough, dynamic police chief who oversees the Gang Task Force" of the San Francisco Police Department, according to Deadline. He'll be in direct opposition to Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez), a gang member who infiltrates the SFPD.
Gang Related will also star the RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang and Inbar Lavi. Berenger was previously slated to play the role of Chapel, but left the pilot after the table read earlier this month.
What do you think about O'Quinn's casting? Does it make you more excited for Gang Related?
Gang Related is being prepped for the fall 2013 season.
Hehe, no problem at all :)
Terry O'Quinn is arguably as good a choice as any :)
Don't mind me Wynn. :) I'm just a big Terry O'Quinn fan. Berenger is fine too.
Hehe, not bad at all, but not sure I'd agree it's an upgrade ;)
After all he did quite great latest on Hatfields & McCoys. Quite great indeed, and overall he'd seem like the more versatile actor of the two. Although Terry O'Quinn is definitely good as well :)
Tom Berenger to Terry O'Quinn? UPGRADE.
