FEARnet has announced the return date for its first original scripted series, Holliston. The series, a horror-comedy, was renewed last spring for a second season and now it has been revealed that it will begin on Tuesday, June 4 at 10 p.m.
The series, created by and starring Adam Green, focuses on two aspiring horror filmmakers (Green and Joe Lynch) who struggled with life, love and making it in this crazy world.
Ten episodes have been ordered for this season, up from only four for the first go-around.
FEARnet is doing everything it can to make sure the program is a success, as genre guest stars galore have been added this season to bring fans to the series. They include Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Sid Haig (House of a 1000 Corpses), David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London), Danielle Harris (Halloween IV and V), Bailee Madison (Don't Be Afraid of the Dark) and James Gunn (Slither).
"Holliston demonstrates not only the breadth of FEARnet’s programming, but also the broad reach of the horror culture. We surprised people by opting for a sitcom. Now, we’re going to surprise them with the places Holliston goes, as season two really celebrates the genre with episodes that mock, embrace and twist the types of scary movies we love,” FEARnet president Peter Block said.
