After a few Tuesdays off, CBS reclaimed the top spot in both demos and total viewers.
NCIS took a steep three tenths drop, but still won 8pm. NCIS: LA matched its last new episode. Golden Boy rose two tenths to a 1.7. Unlike FOX's failed diving special Stars in Danger, ABC's Splash premiered to a 2.6 demo and almost 9 million viewers. This makes it ABC's best rated unscripted series debut in over two years. A Dancing With The Stars season preview special rose 5% from a similar special that aired in March 2012. Body of Proof rose 25% to a season high 1.5 demo, although that still won't probably be won't be enough to get it renewed.
FOX's Hell's Kitchen fell a single tenth. As did New Girl. The Mindy Project its last new airing. With the competition back, Betty White's Off Their Rockers dropped right back to a 1.0 and 0.9 for its two new episodes. America loves Betty, but seemingly not enough to watch this show. The rest of NBC's night was in free-fall, with Go On, The New Normal and Smash all hitting series lows. Wow. Maybe NBC should just stop being a network. A Justin Timberlake album release special did even worse for the CW than Hart of Dixie usually does. JT certainly didn't bring the ratings back.
