Jenny McCarthy, who adorned my walls my sophomore year of college and more recently has been preaching against vaccinations, will continue her talk show on VH1.
The former music network extended “The Jenny McCarthy Show” by seven more episodes.
The pop culture talk show debuted February 8. The original episode order will wrap March 29. Then after a short break, the show will return to the air with seven new episodes Friday, April 12, in its usual 10:30 p.m. time slot.
Meanwhile the former Playboy Playmate (though she recently did another pictorial) is rumored to be in consideration for Joy Behar’s soon- to- be- vacated seat on “The View.” McCarthy shot those rumors down as she stressed her commitment to “The Jenny McCarthy Show,” though she said she would make guest appearances on the ABC talker while they searched for a permanent replacement.
“The Jenny McCarthy Show” had 201,000 viewers for its debut, and drew 196,000 viewers as recently as last Friday. Hollywood A- Listers like Snooki and Bar Refaeli have been among her guests.
McCarthy heads Generation Rescue, a charity promoting the idea that vaccines are causing an epidemic of autism. McCarthy has a son with autism.
