This Sunday, Matthew Perry returns to CBS and The Good Wife, returning in his role of Mike Kresteva. Kresteva is the Republican rival to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), as well as the husband to Alicia (Julianna Marguiles).
In a scene from this week's episode, titled "Death of a Client," Kresteva bumps into Alicia at a Chicago gala event and the two have a frosty exchange that does little to hide their mutual feelings towards one another. Spoiler alert: they are not best friend's forever.
The scene in question can be seen here.
In the scene, Kresteva bluntly asks Alicia "What's your husband's strategy to beating me?" Alicia uses the same level of openness with her response, as she simply says, "Using me." This leads to Kresteva digging deeper, trying to figure out what Alicia sees when she looks at him, which leads to her coldly telling him, "Your psychopathic ability to lie and pretend it's the truth?"
Their exchange also hits on Hitler and "choking on your own blood." What a fun scene that had to be to film between these two veteran TV stars.
Perry's returned was announced back in November, but not filmed until February when he reached a hiatus on his NBC comedy, Go On.
The Good Wife airs at 9 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Will you watch?
