Ari Emanuel unhappy with 'Rock Center'

AriOn Friday night, three brothers appeared on Rock Center with Brian Williams. These were no ordinary brothers, however - they are the Emanuel brothers, who have each achieved high levels of success in their professional lives. Ari is the co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor, Rahm is the former Chief of Staff for President Barack Obama and current mayor of Chicago, and Ezekiel is a noted bioethicist.

What should have been a fun appearance has instead turned into a bit of a spat. You see, Ari was unhappy with something that occured during the conversation as it aired and has sent a legal letter to NBC about the nature of the discussion.

Apparently the tiff comes from the fact that Williams took a much more aggressive attitude into the interview than had been agreed upon, asking the brothers about their connection to Israel and Ari's reputation as a Hollywood agent. Ari and the brothers apparently believed it would be more light-hearted and focused on Ezekiel's book. The letter apparently wanted the network to not air certain parts of the interview.

NBC defended the interview, saying that, "We hope viewers saw the interview as a lively conversation with three famously colorful brothers who embody a great American story of success."

It seems a bit naive to think Williams would lob softballs at the three brothers, don't you think?
