BBC America announces 'Nerdist' line-up

HardwickNext weekend, BBC America will launch its newest series, Chris Hardwick's The Nerdist. The network has announced who will be joining Hardwick and his contributors Matt Mira and Jonah Ray in coming weeks.

Ten episodes have been ordered for its first season, with the first episode (airing March 30) scheduled to have Dominic Monaghan and Doctor Who's Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman as the inaugural guests.

The second episode, airing April 6, will apparently focus on 'The Walking Dead' and feature Robert Kirkman, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillian.

Future guests include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis, Elijah Wood, Buzz Aldrin, Evan Goldberg, Katee Sackhoff, Tatiana Maslany, Guillermo Del Toro, Gillian Jacobs, Bobak Ferdowski,  Ron Funches, Rob Huebel, Matt Kirshen, Natasha Leggero, Kyle Kinane and Paul Scheer, to name a few.

The series was ordered in December, after a few one-hour pop culture specials. It films in Los Angeles and will join other original BBC America series on its Saturday block of programing.

Hardwick knows about discussing trending pop culture items, as he also hosts AMC's The Talking Dead series.

The Nerdist premieres at 10 p.m. March 30 on BBC America. I had never heard of it before finding this news, but it seems like it could be a really fun series. Will you check it out?
