Seth Green joins Fox's 'Dads'

GreenThe relationship between Seth Green and Seth MacFarlane is growing, as it has been announced that Green will be starring in MacFarlane's new live-action comedy series at Fox, Dads. The series is being developed by the writers of "Ted," MacFarlane's surprising box office hit about a talking Teddy Bear.

Green, who also provides vocal talents to MacFarlane's Family Guy, will play Eli, a man who still acts like a child but succeeds in spite of that, growing a successful video game business with his friend Warner (played by The Mindy Project's Tommy Dewey). Both men, in their thirties, have their lives drastically altered when their fathers each unexpectedly move in with their respective sons. Peter Riegert will play Eli's father.

Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild are writing the project, with MacFarlane serving as an executive producer. The Big Bang Theory's Mark Cendrowski will direct the pilot.

Other announced cast members include Brenda Song, Tonita Castro and Martin Mull (!).

This news comes fresh off the heels of the announcement that Lucasfilm had postponed Green's upcoming Star Wars animated series, Detours. Green also is the creator of Robot Chicken on The Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, which will roll out its seventh season later this year.

All I can say is that it's about time we saw Seth Green's face back on our telly on a regular basis. Ever since I saw him on Greg the Bunny, I just wanted more of his kind of humour, fun good natured, not smutty and easy for all ages to understand and get a laugh out of it. Hopefully there will be this kind of thig with this new show. Looking forward to seeing it.
