An actress from “American Horror Story” and “Six Feet Under” has been cast on “Royal Pains” season five.
Frances Conroy will play Blythe Ballard, Hamptons royalty who lives next door to Hank (played by Mark Feuerstein) and Evan’s (played by Paulo Constanzo) residence.
Callum Blue (“Smallville,” “The Tudors”) has also been cast in a recurring role. Stephen Bishop (“Moneyball”), Kevin Kilner (“House of Cards”) and Liza Lapira (“Don’t Trust the B@#$% in Apartment 23”) will also have guest- starring roles.
Ben Shenkman has also been made a regular for season five, which began production last week. The show moves to Savannah, Georgia, and then goes international before returning to its Brooklyn and Long Island home base.
Andrew Lenchewski and Michael Rauch exec produce and write “Royal Pains.” Paul Frank and Rich Frank also exec produce along with Jeff Kwatinetz from ProspectPark and Connie Burge. Jon Sherman, Jack Bernstein and Carol Flint also co- exec produce.
Conroy won a Golden Globe and three Screen Actors Guild Awards for her “Six Feet Under” work. She also appeared in “Sleepless in Seattle,” and on “ER.”
Costanzo, Reshma Shetty and Brooke D’Orsay also star in season five, which premieres this summer.
