Hello TV Ragers, and welcome to your semi-regular update on all the pilots, renewals, and cancellations that have taken place since the last issue was published. Let's get right to it with:
ARRIVALS (Pilots Ordered)
All Stars: RuPaul's Drag Race, LOGO - "All Stars: RuPaul's Drag Race is set to serve up a new twist on the mega-hit "RuPaul's Drag Race" as it pits queens from previous seasons in a wig-to-wig drag battle royale. "All Stars: RuPaul's Drag Race" has been greenlit for six, one-hour episodes and is slated to premiere this fall on Logo."
Coast Guard Florida, TWC - "Coast Guard Florida will follow the men and women of the 7th Coast Guard District who are charged with keeping America's ports secure and waterways safe, stemming the flow of illegal narcotics, securing the southeast border, protecting the environment, enforcing maritime laws and treaties and saving those in peril on the sea. The danger, drama and excitement will grow out of the assignments coming from three bustling Coast Guard Bases located in Clearwater, the Keys and Miami/Everglades."
RETURNS (Series Renewals)
The Talk, CBS, Season 3 - CBS' less political, more everyday life based version of The View has been picked up for another season. There isn't really much else to say here. It's a talk show, either you watch it or you don't. Although my mom will forever despise it for being the show that replaced As The World Turns.
DEPARTURES (Cancellations and End Dates)
All-American Muslim, TLC, Canceled After Season 1 - The family reality show that caused a media firestorm when it premiered has been ended after one season. No matter what your personal feelings about the show, both critics and audiences seemed to agree that it just wasn't very good. The dismal ratings numbers reflected that. The basic idea was interesting, but it didn't really go anywhere a million other shows haven't gone.
And that's all for this edition. Don't forget to keep checking future A,R,&D updates in the coming weeks. The closer we get to the April network upfronts and May sweeps, the more we'll be inundated with shows being dropped, picked up, and brought back. See you next time.
