Modern Family

For the eleventh straight week, American Idol brought FOX the victory in all measures. Yes, I am gonna keep putting this at the top here every week, why do you ask?

Speaking of AI, it took a huge dive, falling half a ratings point to a 3.1. This represents the lowest demo number ever for a Wednesday Idol telecast. Over on CBS, Survivor dropped two tenths, after just dropping two last week.

ABC's The Middle returned from a lengthy hiatus to a season low 1.8 demo. Ouch. The Neighbors rose a single tenth from last week's series low. Modern Family also returned way down, posting a season low demo of 3.2. Nashville returned to a not good 1.5. The lone bright spot was Suburgatory which rose four tenths to a 1.9.

A double shot of NBC's Whitney posted a 1.0 and 1.1. So yeah. Law & Order: SVU posted a slightly higher demo than last week. As did Chicago Fire. The latter seems like it's going to set the record for quickest drama to have a spin-off as well. The CW's Arrow dropped two tenths to an 0.8. If the show wasn't already renewed, I'd fear for its future. Supernatural matched last week's 1.0.

The latter referred to show before that sentence, ie: Chicago Fire. We reported on it possibly getting a spin-off yesterday.

"The latter seems like it's going to set the record for quickest drama to have a spin-off as well. " — which one? Or, is it a secret?
