'Louie' season 4 to premiere in May 2014, says FX

There's been a lot of FX-related news today. The network's been up to quite a bit, from launching a new channel, FXX, renewing Justified for a fifth season, and giving a pilot order for a new series from screenwriter Charlie Kaufman. Now, we've got news about one of the network's best series: Louie.

The series, created by comedian Louis C.K., is one of the shining examples of artistic freedom on television. The show's triumphant third season aired last year, but has gone on hiatus for 2013 so that C.K. can focus on his stand-up comedy. For those wondering when the show will resume, FX gave us an answer: Louie will return in May 2014.

That's quite a long time to wait for more Louie, but we will at leats be able to see C.K. on our screens soon. His latest stand-up special, 'Oh My God,' airs Saturday, April 13, on HBO. C.K. will also be appearing in the upcoming Woody Allen film 'Blue Jasmine,' and also has a role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' director David O. Russell's as-yet untitled next film.

What do you think? Can you wait until May, or are you frustrated that we're not getting more Louie sooner?
