Erinn Hayes already appears in one network series, Guys With Kids. Now the actress has lined up a second network gig at NBC, as she will be replacing Chryler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy) on the pilot Holding Patterns.
Hayes will play Leah, an irresponsible slacker who has no real direction in life. Leah is bright and witty, but had never really applied herself, instead choosing to coast on her natural abilities and float through life, bouncing from dead-end job to dead-end job. She lives in a Minneapolis duplex with her best friends Sabrina and Griffin.
Holding Patterns is a multicamera ensemble comedy being developed by The Office's Justin Spitzer. The series looks at a group of friends who find their lives totally thrown in disarray following a plane crash.
Hayes originally was pinch hitting for Leigh, who was sick and could not make it to the first table read. When Leigh returned, sources say the chemistry was not there with her and the rest of the cast in the same manner that Hayes showed. Other cast members include Nelson Franklin, Kate Lang Johnson, Humphrey Ker, Kimiko Glenn and Luka Jones.
Hayes has also appeared on Adult Swim's Childrens Hospotal and the feature film It's a Disaster.
