“Dads” now has a full cast again.
Vanessa Lachey has joined Fox’s six episode multi- camera comedy as a regular after a recasting following the project’s table read. Erin Pineda (“Happy Endings”) was cast this past Monday, but left after the table read.
“Dads,” from Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild (“Ted”) and Seth Macfarlane (“Family Guy”), focuses on two successful 30- something men. Their lives are disrupted when their nightmarish fathers (played by Peter Riegert and Martin Mull) all of a sudden move in to their homes.
Lachey will play Camilla, Warner’s (played by Tommy Dewey, “The Mindy Project”) wife and the mom of their two kids. Seth Green (the voice of Chris Griffin on “Family Guy”) plays the other guy, the perpetually single Eli. Brenda Song (“The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”) and Tonita Castro (“Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”) will also star.
Lachey, who was born in the Philippines, has hosted “Entertainment Tonight,” “Total Request Live” and “Wipeout,” and also acted on “Hawaii Five- O,” “30 Rock” and “Psych.” She is a former Miss South Carolina Teen USA, and is married to singer Nick Lachey.
