Chloe Sevigny's latest pilot, 'Those Who Kill' is being picked up with a series order by A&E. 'Those Who Kill' is based off a Danish format series (similar to the successful hit 'The Killing') and also stars James D'Arcy ('Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World').
'Those Who Kill' is a crime drama thriller and revolves around police detective Catherine Jensen (Sevigny) and forensic profiler Thomas Schaffer (D’Arcy), who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt. The depths one must plumb in order to get into the mindset of a serial killer will take both characters to their emotional limits. D'Arcy's character Thomas is described as a handsome and intellectual college psychology teacher with a PhD who focuses on serial killer behavior.
Chloe Sevigny is currently appearing on 'Portlandia' and has also starred on 'American Horror Story' and 'Hit & Miss.' Best known for her feature film work in 'American Psycho' and 'The Brown Bunny,' Sevigny made a splash in television with the critically-acclaimed 'Big Love.' 'Those Who Kill' is directed by Joe Carnahan, a feature film director of such pictures as 'The Grey' and 'The A-Team.' Carnahan also acts as Executive Producer on the crime series.
Following the strong debut of A&E's latest offering 'Bates Motel,' 'Those Who Kill' seems primed to assert A&E as the destination for creepy criminal profiling drama. A&E's other scripted pilot, 'Occult,' recently completed casting and will move into production shortly.
