AMC does minor rebranding

AMC is in the middle of the hottest streak of its lifetime, so it is not a huge surprise that the network wants to build off its recent (last five years or so) success and turn it into much, much more.

The network, which airs hit series Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Mad Men, announced a new logo and tagline which it feels will better reflect its dedication and passion towards original storytelling and series.

Forget about the old logo and "Story Matters Here." That is so 2012. Instead, get ready to see this bad boy here and the new tagline of "Something More."AMC

"AMC: Something More further refines our focus on- and off-air and speaks to our promise to viewers to provide an experience that is unexpected, unconventional and uncompromising,” AMC executive vice president of marketing Linda Schupack . "However we express the brand, we want to give our audience something deeper, something richer, something more."

The old logo was first revealed in 2009 and was used exclusively since then. Gold has also become a prominent part of the new look, because it suggests "premium quality" and "popular appeal," said the network.

The new look premiered last night during the finale of The Walking Dead's third season, as well as marketing tied to the season premiere of Mad Men next week.
