Celebrities signing on for 'Game Night'

Actors are flocking to “Hollywood Game Night.”

Sean Hayes

The NBC game show series is executive produced by Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. Jane Lynch will host the show, which features celebrities hanging out and playing game with non- famous contestants, in an atmosphere not unlike a cocktail party.

Signed on so far are Amy Poehler (“Parks & Recreation”), Matthew Perry (“Go On”), Jason Bateman (“Arrested Development”), Kristin Bell (“Veronica Mars”) and her finance Dax Shephard, Maya Rudolph (“Up All Night”), Fred Armisen (“Portlandia”), Minnie Driver (“Good Will Hunting”), Kal Penn (“Harold and Kumar” series), Martin Short, Ellie Kemper, Kristen Chenoweth, Cheryl Hines, Molly Shannon and Max Greenfield.

The series has an eight- episode order, and is based on Hayes’ real- life “game nights” with celebrity friends, with the same cocktail party- like atmosphere.

In every episode two contestants are treated to a night of fun and shoulder- rubbing with the A- listers. One contestant leaves with a cash prize, along with some good stories.

Hazy Mills Prods., Mission Control Media and Universal TV is producing the series. Milliner, Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith are exec producers.

Sean Hayes is best know for appearing in “Will & Grace.”
