The last time I remember watching Hilary Duff on television was when she was playing the sugary-sweet Lizzie Maguire on the Disney Channel, but she has had a few more recent roles on shows such as Gossip Girl, Raising Hope and Community. Duff is making her most recent foray into television in a much more grown-up role as a new love interest for Ashton Kutcher on the crass comedy Two and a Half Men.
Two and a Half Men has been very welcoming to former Disney princesses, having cast Miley Cyrus in a recurring role as Jake’s love interest earlier this season. Duff will get her turn on the upcoming season finale, where she will woo Walden (Kutcher) as his beautiful new beau Stacey. Of course, things cannot run that smoothly, and Walden somehow finds his eye wandering towards Stacey’s grandmother (played by Taxi’s Marilo Henner) at the same time.
The 25 year old actress and new mother took to her Twitter account to share her excitement over the role. “So excited to be joining the cast of @TwoHalfMen_CBS this week! I get to play a crazy drunk girl, funnnn!!!” tweeted Duff on Tuesday, following it up by saying “So lucky and excited to work with the beautiful & talented @TheRealMarilu on @TwoHalfMen_CBS this week! Today was a blast!”
Are you looking forward to seeing Duff on the season finale of Two and a Half Men?
