Three actors on AMC's The Walking Dead are being promoted as the series heads towards its fourth season after a third season that started out really hot and ended in a manner that upset many fans (not the deaths in the last episode, the general status of the series).
Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Emily Kinney (Beth) will be full-timers when the show returns in October, joining David Morrissey as a new regular on the series. The fourth season will begin at the prison that was so central to the third season.
Melisa Ponzio, who plays Karen, will also be returning to the series as a recurring guest star.
Coleman's role is probably the juiciest, at least if you are going by the comic series. Tyreese was a bit of a hero during the season, saving women and children from the Governor's grasp on Woodbury. Along with his sister Sasha, they joined up with Rick's crew. Beth is the youngest daughter of Hershel and has been with the series since early in season two. She is expected to help care for Rick's daughter, Judith, as well as be someone close to Carl.
"[Rick] is letting the people of Woodbury in and trying to tell Carl that these people are like us, you have to be open to this and the only way to survive in this world is to have people and be in a community. That's going to be a big part of season four," said Robert Kirkman, Walking Dead creator.
