Well, at least she has that talk show pilot with Anderson Cooper to fall back on.
“Kathy” has been canceled by Bravo after two seasons, leaving Kathy Griffin to pursue other projects.
Griffin commented on the show’s end during a stand- up comedy performance Friday at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati.
“Kathy” debuted last spring. Despite low ratings, the show was renewed for a second season, which began in January.
Following a lively performance with Cooper during a New Year’s Eve broadcast, CNN commissioned a talk show pilot with the two, though the network hasn’t green-lit the project yet.
During the New Year’s Eve broadcast on CNN, Griffin dropped to her knees and went for Cooper’s crotch. “Kathy, oh, did you drop something?” Cooper said, pulling her back up and even blocking her with a “No Nudity” sign the network wisely had placed on set.
Griffin also told Cooper she was going to ”tickle your sack,” to which Cooper said “I have no sack of Christmas presents.” Griffin then countered, “Do you call your privates your Christmas presents? Typical guy.” The pair have done the show together for six years.
