Each season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" has its fair share of casualties, and "Real Housewives" star Lisa Vanderpump appears to be the latest.
The reality star revealed in a blog for People.com that her rigorous training for the dance competition left her feeling more exhausted than ever last week. "By the time Thursday rehearsals rolled around - let's just [say] I was exhausted and everything felt off," she wrote. "[Pro dance partner] Gleb [Savchenko] and I were rehearsing our cha cha and suddenly I just blacked out."
She continued, noting that the reason for her collapse was not simply due to the strain that comes with daily training. "I fainted only once before in my life. The doctor found that I had a viral infection with fever and swollen glands. And between trying to fight that and all of the stress on my body from running around, I ended up with low blood pressure and a rapid heart rate, which is why I fainted."
However, don't expect Vanderpump to use her illness as an excuse to gracefully exit stage right. She continued, "I am still fighting the bug and feeling under the weather but I am staying in the game as long as they say I can. And I will give it my best!"
Will the "Real Housewives" star be able to stick with the competition? Find out when "Dancing With The Stars" returns tonight on ABC.
