Tim Lopez is ready for love.
If you have no idea who that is, you are not alone. Lopez is the guitarist for the band of Plain White T's, a band that I have not heard mentioned for a few year's now. He also will be appearing on NBC's newest reality program, Ready for Love, which debuts tonight.
Lopez gave an interview where he (SPOILER ALERT) revealed that he did in fact find love on the taping of the series. The duo is still together, in fact.
“I am still with her and very happy in the relationship, so it worked for me,” Lopez recently said, adding that the experience on the show was not as enjoyable as he would have liked. “I thought that I would be so comfortable with that, but the truth is it’s different to hold a guitar in front of you and actually perform than it is to date people on camera and have an audience watch you pour your heart out on stage. You never know what the girls are gonna throw at you or what Giuliana and Bill are gonna throw at you.”
The program is executive produced by Eva Longoria and hosted by Giuliana and Bill Rancic.
The series focuses on three bachelors, who are paired with three matchmakers who select 12 ladies for each man (so 36 total). They are slowly whittled down until four are left, ultimately leading hopefully to a love connection (a one-on-one love connection. This is NBC, not Showtime).
The other men who are appearing as bachelors are Ben Patton, an international financier from Dallas, and Ernesto Arguello, an entrepreneur from Miami.
"They are the kinds of guys I'd fix my sister up with if my sister were single," said Bill Rancic, adding that hosting the series helped his marriage. "We found it to be really educational, when they were offering tips and guidance on why you should do this or that. We're happily married and wrote a book on marriage, but even we thought, 'Wow, this is pretty interesting.' I think viewers will walk away with bits of knowledge they can use in their own relationships."
