Did you ever have a teacher that you thought was attractive? What about one starring in your favorite TV show? In honor of teacher’s all over, and for National Teacher Day next month, here are the fabulous actors and actress portraying some of TV’s sexiest educators.
1. Ezra Fitz
Just look at that pretty boy face. Who wouldn’t fall in love with Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding) from ABC Family’s favorite teen drama “Pretty Little Liars”? Aria (Lucy Hale) did her first day back in Rosewood; after all they ended up making out in a bar bathroom. They were both in for a shock when Aria arrived to her English class and Mr. Fitz was her teacher. Yikes! You could say he plays favoritism when it comes to Aria. In addition to his high school teaching position, Ezra has also taught at Hollis College, taken time off to write and he is now back teaching English to Aria and her friends.
2. Lily Aldrin
Ever since “How I Met Your Mother” started, Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) has loved art, but she didn’t try to make it as an artist right off the bat. She used to be a kindergarten teacher. Now that Lily no longer teaches, she embraced her art passion and is currently an art consultant. Sometimes, Lily has to use her former teaching skills on her husband, Marshall (Jason Segel), and his friends when they act like little boys and get into trouble. She’s now a mother, and will probably be a great one, since she has so much experience with kids already.
3. Alaric Saltzman
Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) is one rough and tough teacher. When he first came on “The Vampire Diaries” he made everyone believe he was in Mystic Falls to teach history; however, that wasn’t the case. He came to the supernatural Virginia town to hunt vampires. Alaric’s character grew throughout his time on the series. Not only did he learn to like vampires - Damon (Ian Somerhalder) was his closest friend - he also became a father figure to Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). He even taught Elena how to fight and bulk up to battle supernatural beings. Who wouldn’t want Alaric teaching him/her about history and hunting vampires?
4. Tami Taylor
Connie Britton is one of the most beloved actresses on television. Fans truly fell in love with her when she played Tami Taylor on “Friday Night Lights.” Yes, she stood by her man and had a strong marriage with hubby Eric (Kyle Chandler), but she was also a strong woman when it came to her career. First, at Dillon High School she acted as a guidance counselor and eventually became the principal. After moving to East Dillon High, Tami once again became a guidance counselor. At the end of the football series, she took her career to the next level and became the Dean of Admissions at Braemore College in Philadelphia.Technically, she wasn’t a teacher, but Tami was a leader in the school system and taught students to go in the right direction.
5. Mark Cyr
Did you know it’s possible to love Jason Ritter more than you already do? You know this to be true if you’re a fan of “Parenthood.” On the NBC drama, Ritter plays loveable English teacher Mark Cyr. Of course, fans of the show know and adore him for his former relationship/engagement with Sarah Braverman (Lauren Graham). It didn’t quite work out at the end of Season 4, which broke fans hearts everywhere. Sarah wasn’t Mark’s first crush. If you recall, in Season 1 Sarah’s daughter, Amber (Mae Whitman), actually fell for her teacher first. That erupted into one big fight between mom and daughter. Mark seems to have that effect.
6. Haley James Scott
Like most of the teacher’s on the list, Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) was a dedicated English teacher on “One Tree Hill.” She was destined to be a teacher. When the show first started, Haley was a tutor and that’s how she meant her hubby/love of her life Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). Nathan was apparently hot for teacher. After graduating and growing up, Haley became an official teacher at Tree Hill. She made quite the impact on her students including cocky basketball star turned beloved good guy Quentin Fields (Robbie Jones) and Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) foster daughter Sam (Ashley Rickards).
7. Will Schuester
Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) is everybody’s favorite glee club teacher. On FOX’s hit series “Glee” Mr. Schue has transformed his students’ lives with the sound of music. Forming a dedicated glee club - eventually called New Directions - was difficult at first, but Will persevered and made sure all of the kids felt included making them feel that they had purpose. During the school hours, and when he isn’t busy singing his heart out, Will’s day job is teaching Spanish.
8. Carol Vessey
Do you remember the series “Ed”? On the NBC comedy-drama, Julie Bowen portrayed English teacher Carol Vessey. She was the main love interest for Ed (Tom Cavanagh) and was the hottie of Stuckeyville. Even though the show ended after four seasons, we can still watch Bowen grace our TV’s weekly. Now, she can be seen teaching her kids and husband a lesson as mom Claire on ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family.”
9. Daniel Harris
This is one man that can make someone weak in the knees. Mr. Daniel Harris (Blair Underwood) did just that to all the mom’s at his school when he first appeared in Season 2 of “The New Adventures of Old Christine.” He played fourth grade teacher to Christine’s (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) son, Ritchie (Trevor Gagnon), and became Christine’s love interest. He surprisingly fell for Christine - she wasn’t always the brightest crayon in the box - but after all the hotness wore off they called it quits.
10. Daniel Pierce
This is a different type of role for Eric McCormack, who will always be recognized as Will Truman from “Will & Grace.” As Professor Daniel Pierce on the TNT drama titled “Perception,” he not only teaches at a fictional Chicago university, but is also a talented neuroscientist who assists the FBI in cracking cases wide open. But, there’s more than meets the eye with Daniel. He is an extremely intelligent man who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.
Who is hot for teacher now?
